I would like to take this time to introduce myself and welcome you and your child to Patterson Junior High. My name is Janet Francois and I will be teaching your child in Fifth Grade for the 2010-2011 school year. I have a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Nicholls State University. I hold a teaching license in Elementary Education for Grades 1-5. This is my third year as a Fifth Grade teacher, and I have a lot planned for this year. I am looking forward to a year of fun and exciting learning. You as parents or guardians are important in your child’s progress and are encouraged to look at their homework and papers they bring home. For the best learning environment possible, it is essential that the students follow certain expectations. These expectations are posted in our classroom and you have a copy of them at home.
